About This Release
PHM returns to Wide Angle Recordings with a genre defying release that is hauntingly beautiful and lethal on the dancefloor. Until The Seas Run Dry is a brilliant EP that showcases the young producer’s flare for creating emotionally charged, effective dance music. His signature composition, deep baselines, and complex atmospheres are all combined in what is arguably his best work to date.
The EP opens with Until The Seas Run Dry, the title track that instantly stands out as a rare, timeless gem. Beginning with a beautifully subtle baseline, the track builds with atmospheric textures and harmonies, culminating with a dazzling melody that lightly plays on top of the other elements.
Distorted Dimensions moves the EP into darker territory, with a massive system-pumping baseline and eerily mysterious synth work. Distorted Dimensions is reminiscent of exploration into an unknown world – and will be sure to instill this feeling in the dancefloor.
The third track on the EP rounds out the release by establishing itself right in-between the first two. False Dawn is a powerful dancefloor weapon that also capitalizes on wonderful harmonies, a smooth baseline, and a piercing melody. And what genre-defying release would be complete without a remix from Wide Angle Recordings’ veterans, Dual Shaman? The Romanian duo deliver a remix of False Dawn that is part electronica, part breaks, part progressive, and entirely pure listening pleasure. This versatile track will undoubtably be finding its way to a wide spectrum of DJs and music lovers alike.
